Please make your ideas for club events known and we can try to cater for them over the year. Most events are discussed at the monthly meetings and we tend to work with whoever is there, so events can tend to appear a little biased when it comes to their application. What has now become an annual event, the Fish + Chip supper at The Riverside Restaurant, Matlock Bath. DE4 3NR Limited parking next door at the mining museum; more spaces at the railway station further along the road. Then afterwards at The White Lion pub, Starkholmes. DE4 5JA Please let me know if you intend to come as I need to inform the restaurant/cafe of potential numbers. If you prefer to eat at The White Lion we will join you after 8pm

East Midlands Classic Vehicle Club Show Sunday August 4th Richard Wharmby is planning to meet at the Unicorn at Gunthorpe for approx 9:00am departure to Newark. Second rendezvous is the Lord Ted in Newark for 9:30 before heading to Sconce Hill which is a mile up the road. If we go in as a group we can park together. This is a test email compiled in the Members area of the MASC website (www.midgetandspriteclub.com) so I would be grateful for any feedback if it reaches you. It should be a secure message system. Please reply to me on my email address – ilccooke@btinternet.com The next scheduled meeting falls on Feb.14th. Please let me know if you would like to join us for a “Love your car” evening or if you have other plans and would rather cancel the meeting? I notice over the last year that we are getting more members assigned to our area who live east of Nottingham – Newark, Vale of Belvoir and the Wolds. This is because Notts+Derby is your nearest area branch to which the Membership Secretary gives a link. I appreciate our current meetings in Kilburn may be too far from you, but if you wish to meet up with fellow members to exchange greetings and ideas we can consider having runs out to meet up. After all you have some great roads out East! We are picking up members further north in Chesterfield and Sheffield too so cover a large area at present. Note that the Womersley meet near Doncaster was set up for members in that area a couple of years ago but does rely on members coming out in order for it to keep going. Keep sending me updates on what you are working on/driving to/want to know/etc, for inclusion in the Mascot monthly updates. Any photos too. Regards to all. Ian Cooke (Notts + Derby area rep.)
