About the Midget and Sprite Club

The Midget and Sprite Club (often abbreviated to MASC) was founded by a group of enthusiasts over 40 years ago, soon after the last 1500 Midget rolled off the production line. The founders had spotted that Midgets and Sprites were under-appreciated and under-served by other clubs at the time, and that would-be owners were being denied the enjoyment of driving these wonderful cars.

Today, the club has a diverse membership, both in age and interest: original owners of early cars to young enthusiasts new to classic motoring; some modify their cars for competition, whilst others strive to keep their cars in the condition they left the factory. Whatever your reasons for joining, you will find a warm welcome from like-minded enthusiasts.

Our members are predominantly UK-based, with a growing number overseas – in Europe, North America, Japan, South Africa, and Australia. All UK members belong to independently organised regions, who hold regular meetings and organise local events – such as a drive to a local venue or a spin through the countryside. Through our national committee, we also attend select exhibitions, and hold gatherings at race meetings, track days, and join in activities organised by other clubs.
