October Yorkshire Area Meeting

by Mark T Boldry

SATURDAY 19th October 11.30 – 14.30hrs…

With drawn in cold and damp nights now upon us, we felt it time to move the meetings to the weekend for the winter. We will revert to weekday evenings again in the Spring.

So, with that knowledge in front of you, we invite you to join us at The Punch Bowl, Marton cum Grafton just off the A1 or A168. This is a lunchtime meeting and arriving at 11.30 allows us to admire the cars that turn up.. Please, it is NOT an obligation, nor is it expected at any time that you attend meetings in your Midget or Sprite.

This pub offers good Beers and Great Food in a lovely relaxed atmosphere, the car park is large and safe.

We look forward to seeing you there..

Mark & Anita.

Steve is looking for some parts !!

by Robert Neil McLeod

Hi All.

Steve Keil is looking for a few parts as below if anyone can help.

To help with my current trials could you please put out a request for any ‘scrap’ master, clutch slave or rear wheel brake cylinders that I could use in my attempts at fitting both brass and stainless steel sleeves to prevent internal corrosion.

I have made a number of jigs and special tools and all looks good so far with a 7/8″ clutch slave and 3/4″ rear wheel cylinders fitted with brass sleeves.

Still need to make a high pressure pump for testing completed parts at 2000 lbf/in2.

Thanks

Upcoming events for your diary

by Andrew Parrott

Hello

At our last monthly meeting held on Thursday 19th September at The Red Lion, Thornby we discussed some upcoming events that MASC members might be interested in attending.

Saturday 12th October 2019 from 11am to 4pm: Tifosi Open Day at Halls Garage, Folkingham Road, Morton, Bourne, PE10 0NS. A great opportunity to catch up with other MASC members from Central, Notts & Derby and Lincolnshire areas as well as seeing the work that Halls do. Fish and chips from over the road are worth the trip alone!

Sunday 13th October 2019 from 10am to 1pm: Silverstone Social Classic Car Meet at Turweston Airfield.

Saturday 26th October 2019: MASC AGM at RAF Cosford. Details in MASCOT.

Friday 8th to Sunday 10th November 2019: NEC Classic Car Show. MASC will have a stand again this year.

Drive It Day 2020 is likely to be on Sunday 28th April. MASC normally have several runs planned. More details as they become available.

Sunday 28th June 2020: Lanes Run in conjunction with Central Area. Plan is for two Areas to meet up and follow a scenic route ending at Brixworth Country Park. More details to follow.

Please let me know if you would like any further details on any of the above or if you are aware of other relevant events that others might be interested in attending.

Kind regards
