Hello fellow Mascavites,

The word is out that Midget 60, The Big Weekend scheduled for June this year has been postponed. A sad but very sensible decision in view of where we are within the Covid-19 pandemic. A new date of 1st-3rd July 2022 has been posted when hopefully, the world be be a much safer place to got out and play with again.

Those who have booked for the 2021 date will be contacted shortly to explain the options available to them.

Regards to all,

Terry

Postponement of Midget60 (and Sprite) Big Weekend event

by Gary Lazarus

Dear all

The Midget60 organising committee have taken the difficult decision to postpone this year\’s event:

“During a meeting of our North West Area and Mark Hall. We discussed at great length the possibility of going ahead with MG Midget 60 in June 2021, but it is with great sadness we have decided to postpone this event to July 1st-3rd 2022. We know you will all be disappointed but it was felt as the pandemic opening up date of the 21st June is too close to our event, members may still feel unsafe to travel and also the date Boris has set could also be moved on to later in June, depending on how the R number comes down. As so much work has been put into organising this event, we did not wish it to become a diluted event, with members travelling from all over the UK and Europe.

We very much hope you will understand our decision and join with us in looking forward to July 2022 when we hope we will be able to gather and mix in large numbers(mask free) safely to enjoy the company of other members from all around the world.

Those who have already entered will receive an email shortly with details of the options.”

I will be sending a revised \’Dates for Your Diary\’ email soon which will include information on some additional activities.

Best wishes

Gary

The Big Weekend – Midget 60

Hello everyone

This is a message from the organisers of the Big Weekend. Postponement of MG Midget 60 to 2022. So it’s Midget 61, then…

During a meeting of our North West Area and Mark Hall. Hello all.

Just some info for you that I hope will make joining Zoom meetings easier  and how to help reduce background noise.

1. I will be sending out the link & passcode PM on the day before the meeting.

2. I am not the host of meetings. The Club arrange that Dave Colclough in the Central area is the host for all club meetings. This is for security reasons. Dave does not join our meetings.

This means that I do not have the ability to mute those attending. I can mute myself as can you. This is key if we wish to avoid unwanted backgound noise interference. So if you are not speaking please can you put your mute button on.

Let me know if you require further clarification.

Regards

Gavin Rowles.

Hello again fellow Mascavites,

We seem to have a daily spares market brewing. Today, Alan Lo is offering a very nice Ashley GT fibreglass bonnet that he currently uses as a garden ornament. The bonnet is in good shape and comes with the original headlight covers, rather like the early Jaguar E type. Collection from Bristol, its yours for £250. For further info and photos, please contact Alan  07474 343643 or email  –  alan.lo.uk@gmail.com

I can hardly wait to see what we have for Thursday.

Terry

Hello fellow Mascavites,

“Now what is he selling?” you may be thinking, Well, I’m not. Instead, Frank Allen is. A set of 4 Minator 5X13 alloy wheels (Minilite lookalikes) for a Sprite or Midget. Pretty well unblemished condition with a set of wheel nuts. Photos available upon request. Asking £300 or very near offer.

Frank Allen – 07747 633567 or 01454 774208. Frampton Cotterell

Otherwise, no news is good news, and I have no bad news.

Terry
