Online Classic Motor Show

by Alan Pritchett

Hi Everyone

As you are no doubt aware, this year’s Classic Motor Show at the NEC is not happening due to the COVID 19 pandemic, so the shows organisers have put together an online version to be shown on Facebook  from 09:00 on Saturday 14th November and you are all invited, free of charge, to have a look and see what they have to offer, over 60 car clubs will be featured.

During the day they will be raising awareness of the charity Sporting Bears’ activities and asking virtual attendees to donate what they can. As they hope to raise as much money as possible for Sporting Bears’ deserving children’s charities (see list below).

Whilst the show organisers realise that many are struggling during this unprecedented time, they would greatly appreciate it if you felt able to make a donation.  You can either:

  • Donate now via the Sporting Bears Just Giving page
  • Or, if you are able to make a pledge of over £100, you will get a special shout out from Mike Brewer during the Online Edition on Saturday!

Simply email info@necclassicmotorshow.com with how much you pledge to give, along with a short message.  They will arrange for your pledge to be collected after the 14th.

The Charities supported by the Sporting Bears are:-

Birmingham Children’s Hospital

Alder Hey Children’s Hospital

Children’s Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS)

Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice (Middlesbrough)

Chestnut Tree House (Sussex)

Rainbows Children’s Hospice (Loughborough)

Julia’s House Children’s Hospice
